Transport planned around the machine and destination.

Heavy equipment cannot be shipped using one standard method. The machine type, operating weight, overall dimensions, destination country and available transport routes determine how each shipment is arranged.

Shipping costs and the applicable Incoterms are confirmed with the buyer before shipment. For oversized or exceptionally heavy equipment, special handling, dismantling, permits or route planning may be required.

Road TransportSuitable for domestic and European machinery movements.
Container ShippingWhere machine size and configuration allow container loading.
RoRo ShippingRoll-on/roll-off vessel transport for suitable rolling machinery.
Special TransportOversized or heavy machines may require permits or specialist handling.

Heavy Lift Europe B.V. ships heavy machinery worldwide by road, container, RoRo and other suitable transport methods.

The final transport method is selected according to the equipment type, machine condition, size, weight, loading requirements, destination and available route.

The final shipping cost is confirmed with the buyer before shipment and is stated in the applicable quotation, sales agreement or Proforma Invoice.

3. Export & Shipping Documents

Heavy Lift Europe B.V. provides the necessary export and shipping documents required for the agreed shipment.

The exact documentation may vary according to the machine, destination, transport method and agreed commercial terms.

4. Import Duties, Taxes & Destination Charges

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, the buyer is responsible for import duties, taxes, customs clearance, port charges, destination handling and any other destination-country charges.

5. Delivery Times

Shipping and delivery times are estimates only and may change due to vessel schedules, carrier availability, port congestion, customs procedures, weather, transport permits or other circumstances outside Heavy Lift Europe B.V.'s reasonable control.

6. Oversized or Heavy Equipment

Oversized or exceptionally heavy machinery may require special transport permits, route planning, escort services, dismantling, lifting equipment or other specialist handling.

Any additional requirements that materially affect the shipment will be reflected in the final shipping arrangement.

7. Incoterms & Agreed Shipping Terms

The applicable Incoterm and transport responsibilities are agreed with the buyer before shipment and stated in the relevant quotation or Proforma Invoice.

Buyers should review the stated Incoterm carefully because it determines the agreed allocation of transport costs, responsibilities and risk for the individual transaction.

8. Order-Specific Terms Take Priority

The final shipping arrangements, Incoterms, payment terms and other commercial conditions stated in the quotation, sales agreement or Proforma Invoice take priority over this general policy.
